How to start

ClearCaps is designed to provide an effective and comfortable orthodontic solution by gradually moving teeth into their desired alignment. The process follows a precise step-by-step approach that is customized for each patient, based on the treatment plan developed by the dentist or orthodontist. Here’s a detailed look at how ClearCaps works:

Initial Consultation and Assessment

The journey with ClearCaps begins with an initial visit to the dentist or orthodontist for an assessment. During this consultation, the doctor examines your teeth and jaws thoroughly, takes images and X-rays, and performs a 3D digital scan of your teeth. This scan allows the doctor to determine the treatment requirements and predict the potential final result with high accuracy.

Digital Planning and Treatment Plan Creation

Based on the results of the scan, the doctor uses advanced software to create a customized treatment plan. This plan breaks down the treatment into progressive stages, where each aligner shows gradual movement of the teeth toward their ideal position. Patients can even review the digital treatment plan to see how their teeth will shift over time until the final result is achieved.

Design and Production of Clear Aligners

After finalizing the treatment plan, a series of custom-made clear aligners are produced based on the digital data. Each aligner in the series is designed to gradually shift the teeth into their proper position. These aligners are made from high-quality medical-grade materials that ensure comfort and a perfect fit for the teeth.

Wearing Aligners According to the Schedule

The patient is required to wear each aligner for about 20 to 22 hours a day, and change to the next aligner in the series approximately every two weeks, as directed by the dentist. Each aligner gently moves the teeth toward the target position, and switching to the next aligner helps continue this gradual progression. The aligners can be removed when eating or brushing teeth, making it easier to maintain oral hygiene and reducing dietary restrictions.

Regular Follow-ups with the Dentist

Periodic checkups with the dentist are essential to monitor progress and ensure the treatment is on track. These follow-up visits usually occur every few weeks, where the doctor will check the current alignment of the teeth and provide the next aligners as needed. If any adjustments are necessary, the doctor can modify the treatment plan to meet the patient’s evolving needs.

Final Results and Retention

Once all the aligners have been worn, the teeth will have shifted into their ideal position. The dentist will assess the final result to ensure stability and alignment. Typically, the patient will be advised to wear a retainer to maintain the new position of the teeth and prevent them from shifting back to their original positions.
